In designing the 2023 Southern Living Idea House, our goal was to create a home that felt rooted—long established in its setting. Drawing on classic Southern vernacular, we shaped a modern country estate. Honoring the tradition of outbuildings, we added a Party Barn and Garden Folly, creating a courtyard-like setting that is both inviting and ideal for entertaining.
